About
Built to carry the part of a lift upgrade nobody else is registered for.
Lift OEMs hold no builder registration. Independent lift consultants cannot be named on a permit and take no delivery risk. Owners and project managers are left holding a regulatory task nobody in the room is qualified for.
Counterweight Construction was formed in 2026 by a registered commercial builder and a lift industry electrician to be that builder: the one who makes the lift contractor's scope permit-ready and carries everything around it. We work in Melbourne and across Victoria, in buildings that stay occupied while the lifts are replaced.
Why counterweight
A counterweight balances the lift car so the machine does less work. Counterweight Construction does the same for the lift contractor: it carries the permit, the site and the building works so the lift crew stays on the lift.
